The Deadly Dolls
Airdate: 09/30/67
Writer: Charles Bennett
Director: Harry Harris
Guest star: Vincent Price
Deadly Dolls is my favorite episode from Voyage for a
number of reasons. The whole
cast is wonderful in this episode, especially Richard Basehart and David Hedison.
This episode has another added bonus - the legend himself Vincent Price.
Price drops by the Seaview as Dr Multiple, vowing to take over the Seaview by casting
its crew into an endless sleep! Admiral Nelson and Captain Crane foil Multiple's plans and the Seaview is saved from danger.
The exchange between Basehart
and his puppet is priceless as Basehart's puppet delivers one liners to Richard.
The puppeteers who worked the puppets in this episode were wonderful! What a
fun job that must have been! Director Harry Harris. Irwin's busiest director,
treats us to some beautiful camera work with a ton of close ups and camera
angles
which make Deadly Dolls a true classic and a wonderful episode to watch!
