Patricia York was born April 1, 1945 in Bremerton, Washington. Because there was another actress using her real name, the stage moniker Heather Young was adopted.
Before she was cast as flight attendant Betty Ann Hamilton aboard the ill-fated Spindrift, Heather made a number of guest appearances, most notably Batman, Judd for the Defense, Time Tunnel, and Felony Squad. During the filming breaks, Heather appeared in the TV movie In Name Only and several episodes of Insight.
Pregnant during the early part of second season, her appearances were minimized and her pregnancy carefully camouflaged by strategically placed foliage and equipments. She was completely missing during the filming of the six episodes "Deadly Pawn" through "Our Man Reilly."
After the series ended, Heather did a few commercials and a pilot for a sitcom called Oh, Nurse. Her last appearance was on Galactica 1980, appearing as a singer in the second part of the two part episode 'The Night the Cylons Landed.'
Heather moved to Utah in the early 80's. She resumed singing, writing and composing under her real name. Among her more recent credits are a number of children's stories, a successful musical version of Jane Eyre, and a new CD, "Quiet... Before the Storm"
